We want to reassure Estate users of the following:
1. We do not have priority over those may be walking their dog, but for safety reasons please note the timings of the races and listen to the advice of marshals who are there to help both residents and the athletes stay safe during the period of racing. Note, some of the senior men and women are International Class athletes, so will be running very fast between 1:00PM – 3:00PM.
2. Everyone involved in cross country races operate on the basis that we should leave the beautiful environment tidier than we found it. We intend to take everything we brought with us, as well as any other litter found.
3. For the safety of athletes, the course will be marked using temporary signage, tape, and ground marking on the morning of the 10th February. This will all be removed immediately after the final race is complete. Please do not remove any signage until this point – if you have any problem with it, please contact us via the details at the bottom of this note.
4. A full risk assessment of the course has been completed and trained medical support will be on hand on the day.
We will be ensuring there are marshals throughout the course– they are there to help should you have any questions or concerns.
We would welcome residents coming to watch or help on the day. Should you wish to assist or marshal, or have any concerns, please contact The Race Director, David Williams ndowilliams@hotmail.com
