There are two carparks near the start as shown on the above map.
The one at Ditches lane can be accessed from Marlpit Road.
Note that NO PARKING is allowed on the verges of Ditches Lane, which are soft in any case. Any >infringements will jeopardise any future races in Happy Valley.
The carpark near the Fox can be found by continuing along Marlpit road and Coulsdon road turning >right into Fox lane.
Limited parking maybe available in the residential area off Coulsdon road.
Public transport.
The nearest bus service is route 60 which goes along Brighton road and Marlpit road to Mead way and Tollers Lane. Nearest stop is at Tollers Lane.
Facilities
Toilets and changing rooms will only be available in our clubhouse at Brighton road. [and at Coulsdon South stn]
FIRST AID
Qualified first aiders will be in attendance should medical assistance be required. If hospital treatment is required, the nearest Accident and Emergency department is East Surrey Hospital Redhill.
COURSE: Happy Valley and the surrounding area provide a wide variety of undulating terrain and underfoot conditions. Depending on the weather prior to the event, there may be some deep mud. The wearing of spikes or studs is advised but please be aware that there are short sections of stoney paths. Courses will be fully marshalled on the day with marshals wearing yellow bibs. DECLARTIONS AND RESULTS: Declaration forms are not required as long as runners are entered on the computer system & have been allocated a number which is also on the system. When a runner finishes her number will be noted & the system will link that to the name & other details.
If you have new athletes to enter you can do that on you mobile phone or give name dob and allocated number to one of the marshals at the finish line. Results will be available on surreyleague.org as soon as possible after the race.
All athletes are responsible for their own safety at all times.
